T hen Elijah said to him, “Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to the Jordan.” And he said, “As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So the two of them went on.

Und Elia sprach zu ihm: Bleib doch hier; denn der HERR hat mich gesandt an den Jordan. Er aber sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt und deine Seele, ich verlasse dich nicht. Und sie gingen beide miteinander.
