T hen Pekah son of Remaliah, his officer, conspired against him and struck him in Samaria, in the castle of the king’s house with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites, and he killed him and became king in his place.

Poi Pekah, figlio di Remaliah suo capitano, ordí una congiura contro di lui e lo colpí in Samaria nella torre del palazzo reale, assieme a Argob e Arieh, avendo con sé cinquanta uomini di Galaad. Egli lo uccise e regnò al suo posto.
