B ut she said, “ As the Lord your God lives, I have no bread, only a handful of flour in the bowl and a little oil in the jar; and behold, I am gathering a few sticks that I may go in and prepare for me and my son, that we may eat it and die.”

他 說 ： 我 指 著 永 生 耶 和 華 ─ 你 的 神 起 誓 ， 我 沒 有 餅 ， 罈 內 只 有 一 把 麵 ， 瓶 裡 只 有 一 點 油 ； 我 現 在 找 兩 根 柴 ， 回 家 要 為 我 和 我 兒 子 做 餅 ； 我 們 吃 了 ， 死 就 死 罷 ！
