B ut for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to raise up his son after him and to establish Jerusalem;

لَكِن، مِنْ أجلِ خاطِرِ داوُدَ، أعطَاهُ إلَهُهُ مَملَكَةً فِي القُدْسِ. وَأعطاهُ ابْناً، وَجَعَلَ القُدْسَ مَدِينَةً آمِنَةً.
