N ow Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son crippled in his feet. He was five years old when the report of Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel, and his nurse took him up and fled. And it happened that in her hurry to flee, he fell and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

Ionatan, fiul lui Saul, avea un fiu olog de picioare, şi în vîrstă de cinci ani, cînd a venit din Izreel vestea morţii lui Saul şi a lui Ionatan; doica lui l -a luat şi a fugit, şi fiindcă se grăbea să fugă, a căzut şi a rămas olog; numele lui era Mefiboşet.
