t hen David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh-gilead, who had stolen them from the open square of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them on the day the Philistines struck down Saul in Gilboa.

Şi David s'a dus şi a luat oasele lui Saul şi oasele fiului său Ionatan, dela locuitorii din Iabesul Galaadului, cari le luaseră din piaţa Bet-Şan, unde îi spînzuraseră Filistenii cînd au bătut pe Saul la Ghilboa.
