N ow Absalom happened to meet the servants of David. For Absalom was riding on his mule, and the mule went under the thick branches of a great oak. And his head caught fast in the oak, so he was left hanging between heaven and earth, while the mule that was under him kept going.

Absalom s’imbatté nella gente di Davide. Absalom cavalcava il suo mulo; il suo mulo entrò sotto i rami intrecciati di un grande terebinto e la testa di Absalom s’impigliò nel terebinto, in modo che egli rimase sospeso fra il cielo e la terra, mentre il mulo, che era sotto di lui, passava oltre.
