S o the king said, “Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?” And the woman replied, “As your soul lives, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right or to the left from anything that my lord the king has spoken. Indeed, it was your servant Joab who commanded me, and it was he who put all these words in the mouth of your maidservant;

Vua hỏi: Có phải Giô-áp đã đặt tay vào mọi điều đó chăng? Người đờn bà thưa rằng: Vua chúa tôi ôi, tôi chỉ mạng sống của vua mà thề, người ta không thế xít qua bên hữu hoặc bên tả, đặng khỏi điều vua chúa tôi mới nói đó. Phải, ấy là Giô-áp, tôi tớ của vua, đã truyền lịnh cho tôi, và để các lời nầy trong miệng con đòi vua.
