W hy should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for food, and we and our land will be slaves to Pharaoh. So give us seed, that we may live and not die, and that the land may not be desolate.” Result of the Famine

Warum läßt du uns vor dir sterben und unser Feld? Kaufe uns und unser Land ums Brot, daß wir und unser Land leibeigen seien dem Pharao; gib uns Samen, daß wir leben und nicht sterben und das Feld nicht wüst werde.
