W hen Joseph saw his brothers he recognized them, but he disguised himself to them and spoke to them harshly. And he said to them, “Where have you come from?” And they said, “From the land of Canaan, to buy food.”

Giuseppe vide i suoi fratelli e li riconobbe, ma si comportò come un estraneo davanti a loro e parlò loro aspramente dicendo: «Da dove venite?» Essi risposero: «Dal paese di Canaan per comprare dei viveri».
