N a ka mea tera, Ata noho, e taku tamahine, kia mohiotia ra ano e koe te tukunga iho o tenei mea: e kore hoki e mutu ta taua tangata, kia oti ra ano tenei mea i a ia aianei.

And she saith, `Sit still, my daughter, till thou dost know how the matter falleth, for the man doth not rest except he hath completed the matter to-day.'
