K anga a Meroho, e ai ta te anahera a Ihowa; kanga kinotia nga tangata o reira; mo ratou kihai i haere mai hei awhina mo Ihowa, hei awhina mo Ihowa ki te whawhai ki te hunga nunui.

‘Curse Meroz,’ said Yahweh’s angel. ‘Curse bitterly its inhabitants, because they didn’t come to help Yahweh, to help Yahweh against the mighty.’
