H e whakaatu hoki naku tenei ki te hunga katoa e rongo ana ki nga kupu o te poropititanga o tenei pukapuka, Ki te tapiritia mai e tetahi ki enei mea, ka tapiritia atu ano e te Atua mona nga whiu kua oti te tuhituhi ki tenei pukapuka:

I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book;
