E nga hoa aroha, i ahau e takare tonu ana ki te tuhituhi ki a koutou mo to tatou whakaoranga tahi, i mea ahau me tuhituhi ki a koutou, me whakahauhau kia kaha te tohe ki te whakapono kua oti nei te tuku mai ki te hunga tapu.

Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, I was constrained to write unto you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints.
