K o te tangata e mea ana i te hara, no te rewera ia; he hara hoki to te rewera no te timatanga ra ano. Mo konei te Tama a te Atua i whakakitea mai ai, kia whakakahoretia ai e ia nga mahi a te rewera.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
