H e herekore ta ratou e whakaari nei ki a ratou, heoi he pononga ratou na te pirau: ki te taea hoki te tangata e te hoariri, hei pononga ia mana.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.
