K ati hoki ma tatou ko te wahi o to tatou ora kua pahemo nei, hei mahinga ma tatou i ta nga tauiwi i pai ai, i a tatou i haere i runga i te hiahia taikaha, i nga minamina, i te haurangi waina, i te kakai, i te inu, i te karakia whakarihariha ki ng a whakapakoko:

For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.
