N a ka tonoa atu e Hohua etahi tangata i Heriko ki Hai, ki te taha o Peteawene, i te taha ki te rawhiti o Peteere, ka korero hoki ki a ratou, ka mea, Haere ki runga ki te titiro i te whenua. Na ka haere aua tangata, ka titiro i Hai.

Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth-aven, east of Bethel, and said to them, “ Go up and spy out the land.” So the men went up and spied out Ai.
