K i te kahore hoki he whakapono, e kore e taea he mea e ahuareka mai ai ia: ki te haere hoki tetahi ki te Atua, me whakapono ko ia ano tenei ko te Atua, e homai ana e ia he utu ki te hunga e ata rapu ana i a ia.

and apart from faith it is impossible to please well, for it behoveth him who is coming to God to believe that He is, and to those seeking Him He becometh a rewarder.
