H eoi na konei ahau i tohungia ai, kia ai ko ahau ki mua hei whakaaturanga ma Ihu Karaiti i nga manawanui maha, hei tohu ki te hunga e whakapono ki a ia a muri ake nei, kia ora tonu ai ratou.

But for this cause I was received unto mercy that in me first, Jesus Christ might show forth all clemency, for an example to those who should hereafter believe in him for eternal life.
