K o ta koutou utu ianei tenei ki a Ihowa, e te iwi kuware, e kore nei e mohio? Ehara ianei ia i tou matua, nana koe i hoko? Nana koe i hanga, nana hoki koe i whakau?

Do ye thus requite the Lord, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?
