I kitea ia e ia ki te whenua koraha, ki te tahora tuhea e hamama kau ana; i taiwhiotia ia e ia, i atawhaitia, i tiakina hoki e ia, ano ko te whatupango o tona kanohi:

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
