H uihuia mai ki ahau nga kaumatua katoa o o koutou iwi, me o koutou rangatira, a ka korero ahau i enei kupu ki o ratou taringa, ka waiho hoki i te rangi, i te whenua hei kaititiro mo ratou.

Gather to me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and take heaven and earth to witness against them.
