K atahi ka mea a Ihowa ki a Mohi, Nana, ka takoto koe ki ou matua; a ka whakatika te iwi nei, ka whai atu, ka puremu ki nga atua ke o te whenua, e haere na ratou ki reira noho ai ki waenganui i a ratou; ka whakarere i ahau, ka whakataka hoki i ta ku kawenata i whakaritea atu e ahau ki a ratou.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
