A tenei ake, kei tona rongonga i nga kupu o tenei kanga, na ka manaaki ia i a ia ano i roto i tona ngakau, ka mea, Ka mau te rongo ki ahau, ahakoa haere ahau i te pakeketanga o toku ngakau, ki te whakangaro tahi i te mea makuku me te mea maroke:

and it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
