A ka whakamararatia koe e Ihowa ki waenga i nga iwi katoa, i tetahi pito o te whenua tae noa atu ki tetahi pito o te whenua; a ka mahi koe i reira ki nga atua ke, kahore nei koe i mohio, koutou tahi ko ou matua, ki te rakau, ki te kohatu.

And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
