A tenei ake, ki te ata whakarongo koe ki te reo o Ihowa, o tou Atua, ki te mau ki te mahi i ana whakahau katoa e whakahau atu nei ahau i tenei ra ki a koe, na ka whakanui a Ihowa, tou Atua, i a koe ki runga ake i nga iwi katoa o te whenua:

If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
