K i te pono koe ki te ohanga manu i te ara, i runga i te rakau, i te whenua ranei, me nga pi ano, me nga hua ranei, me te katua e pehi ana i nga pi, i nga hua ranei, kei tangohia ngatahitia e koe te katua me nga pi:

If a bird’s nest should chance to be before you in the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the mother bird is sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother bird with the young.
