K i te puritia e koe, ki te mahia enei whakahau katoa, e whakahau atu nei ahau ki a koe i tenei ra, ara kia aroha ki a Ihowa, ki tou Atua, kia haere hoki i ona huarahi i nga ra katoa; ko reira koe tango ai kia toru atu nga pa mou, hei tapiri mo en a pa e toru:

(if thou keep all this commandment to do it, which I command thee this day, to love Jehovah thy God, and to walk in his ways continually), then shalt thou add three cities more for thyself to these three,
