K ei piri hoki ki tou ringa tetahi wahi o te mea kua oti nei te kanga: kia tahuri mai ai a Ihowa i te muranga o tona riri, ka whakaputa mai he atawhai ki a koe, kia atawhai ai hoki ia i a koe, kia whakanui ai i a koe, kia rite ai ki tana i oati a i ki ou matua;

And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the Lord may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;
