K o te tangata e whakarerea ai e koutou tana, ka whakarerea ano e ahau: ko taku hoki i whakarere noa ai, mehemea i pera ahau, he whakaaro ki a koutou, i whakarerea noatia e ahau i te aroaro o te Karaiti;

But to whom ye forgive anything, I forgive also: for what I also have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, for your sakes have I forgiven it in the presence of Christ;
