K i te hiahia hoki ahau kia whakamanamana, e kore ahau e wairangi; ka korero tonu ahau i te mea pono: heoi ka waiho e ahau, kei nui atu ta tetahi e whakaaro ai ki ahau i tana e kite nei i ahau, i tana ranei e rongo ai ki ahau.

For if I should desire to glory, I shall not be foolish; for I shall speak the truth: but I forbear, lest any man should account of me above that which he seeth me to be, or heareth from me.
