H e tikanga whawhai hoki ki te Atua te whakaaro ki te kikokiko: e kore nei hoki e ngawari ki te ture a te Atua, kahore ano e ahei kia ngawari:

because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be.
