O tira me whaki tenei e ahau ki a koe, ko te ara e kiia nei e ratou he titorehanga, ko taku tena i ahau e karakia nei ki te Atua o oku matua; e whakapono ana hoki ahau ki nga mea katoa kua oti te whakarite i roto i te ture, kua oti hoki te tuhitu hi ki ta nga poropiti:

But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets.
