I hopukia tenei tangata e nga Hurai, a i a ia ka tata te whakamatea e ratou, ka puta atu ahau me nga hoia, a tangohia mai ana ia; i rongo hoki ahau no Roma ia.

This man was taken of the Jews, and should have been killed of them: then came I with an army, and rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman.
