N a, ma koutou tahi ko te runanga e ki atu ki te rangatira mano kia arahina iho ia ki a koutou apopo, me te mea nei e mea ana koutou kia ata mohiotia te take ki a ia: ko matou ia, i te mea kiano ia i tata noa, ka noho rite ki te whakamate i a ia.

now, therefore, ye, signify ye to the chief captain, with the sanhedrim, that to-morrow he may bring him down unto you, as being about to know more exactly the things concerning him; and we, before his coming nigh, are ready to put him to death.'
