O tira kahore ahau e ihupuku ki te ora, hei painga ki ahau ake, engari kia taea taku e whai nei, me te mahi i homai ki ahau e te Ariki, e Ihu, ara kia whakaaturia te rongopai o te aroha noa o te Atua.

But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.
