K a mea ano ia ki a ratou, ko te toru o nga meatanga, he aha ra te kino i meinga e tenei tangata? Kahore ano i mau i ahau tetahi he ona e mate ai: maku ia e whiu, ka tuku atu ai.

And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil has he done? I have found no cause of death in him; I will therefore chastise him and let him go.
