K atahi ia ka mea ki te kaimahi waina, Na, ka toru enei oku tau e haere mai ana ki te rapu hua i runga i tenei piki, heoi kahore i kitea: tuaina ki raro; hei aha i maumauria ai hoki te whenua?

And he said to the vinedresser, Behold, three years I come seeking fruit on this fig-tree and find none: cut it down; why does it also render the ground useless?
