N a mo te hunga mate, mo to ratou aranga mai: kahore koutou i kite i roto i te pukapuka a Mohi, i te wahi ki te Rakau, i ta te Atua i ki ai ki a ia, i mea ai, Ko te Atua ahau o Aperahama, ko te Atua o Ihaka, ko te Atua o Hakopa?

And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
