K ua ngaro te tangata tapu i runga i te whenua, kahore hoki he tangata tika i roto i nga tangata: kei te whanga katoa ratou ki te toto; kei te whai ratou i tona hoa, i tona hoa ki te kupenga.

The faithful man has perished from the earth, And there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Every man hunts his brother with a net.
