M a tona matua keke, ma te tamaiti ranei a tona matua keke ia e whakahoki, ma tetahi ranei o ona whanaunga tupu o tona hapu ia e whakahoki; mana ano ranei ia e whakahoki, ki te taea e ia.

His father’s brother, the son of his father’s brother, or one of his own family may pay the price to free him. Or if he becomes rich he may pay the price himself.
