K i ta koutou kia rite ki tetahi o o koutou tangata whenua te manene e noho ana i a koutou, arohaina ia ano ko koe; he manene hoki koutou i mua, i te whenua o Ihipa: ko Ihowa ahau, ko to koutou Atua.

You should act toward the stranger who lives among you as you would toward one born among you. Love him as you love yourself. For you were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
