K i te takoto puremu hoki tetahi ki te wahine pononga kua oti te taumau ma te tane, ki te mea kihai i utua, i whakahokia, kihai ano hoki i tukua kia haere noa atu; ka whiua raua; e kore raua e whakamatea, no te mea kihai ia i tukua kia haere noa atu.

And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
