M o reira ko te kupu tenei a Ihowa, Tenei ahau te whakatakoto nei i nga tutukitanga waewae e ki mua i tenei iwi, e tutuki ngatahi ai nga matua, nga tamariki; ka ngaro te tangata noho tata raua ko tona hoa.

Therefore thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will lay stumbling-blocks before this people; and the fathers and the sons together shall stumble against them; the neighbor and his friend shall perish.
