E kore hoki e tuwhaina mai te taro ma ratou i te tangihanga, hei whakamarie i a ratou mo te tupapaku; e kore hoki e homai ki a ratou te kapu whakamarie kia inumia, ina mea ki tona papa, ki tona whaea.

Nor shall men break bread in mourning for them, to comfort them for the dead; nor shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or their mother.
