K o te kupu tenei a Ihowa ki tenei iwi, He pena tonu to ratou matenui ki te taihaere; kihai i kaiponuhia o ratou waewae; no reira kahore a Ihowa e manako ki a ratou; ka mahara ia aianei ki o ratou he, a ka whiu i o ratou hara.

Thus said Jehovah concerning this people: Well they have loved to wander, Their feet they have not restrained, And Jehovah hath not accepted them, Now doth He remember their iniquity, And inspect their sin.
