K o te hunga i haereere i te pouri, kua kite i te marama nui: ko nga tangata e noho ana i te whenua o te atarangi o te mate, kua whiti te marama ki a ratou.

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. Those who lived in the land of the shadow of death, on them the light has shined.
