K ua tahuri atu nei ki muri te whakawa, ko te tika tu mai ana i tawhiti; kua hinga hoki te pono i te waharoa, a kahore he tomokanga mo te tika.

Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has fallen in the street, and uprightness can’t enter.
