K o tenei iwi ia he pahuatanga, he taonga parau; he mea mahanga ratou katoa i roto i nga rua, ngaro tonu i roto i te whare herehere, hei pahuatanga ratou, kahore hoki he kaiwhakaora; hei taonga parau; kahore hoki he tangata e ki ana, Whakahokia.

But this is a people robbed of what they owned. All of them are trapped in deep holes, or hidden in prisons. They have been robbed of what they have, with no one to help them. They have been taken away, with no one to say, “Give them back!”
